Allocations
Why we raise funds:
To maintain the same instruction schedule as that of the previous school year. Friends of Sullivan’s Island School will try to raise $200,000 for Sullivan’s Island Elementary School during the 2012-2013 school year to underwrite needed teacher salaries for the 2013-2014 and some current funding needs for the 2012-2013 school year.
Simply put:
Last year SIES, through the PTA and Friends Organizations, we raised approximately $150,000 for the direct benefit of our children. These funds are being used this 2012-2013 school year to pay for the following faculty salaries and programs:
Spanish
Technology
Arts
Intervention
Guidance
Your donations have a direct impact on our children each and every day. Thank you for your generosity, vision and commitment to not only our children, but our entire community.
Economic forecasts do not indicate that these funding needs will decrease in the short term. Raising funds has become a necessity in maintaining the educational excellence at Sullivan’s Island Elementary. A flyer describing these allocations and our capital campaign can be downloaded here.
